General Dress Code

In keeping with the private country club atmosphere of Treesdale Golf & Country Club, Members and their guests must always wear appropriate clothing in good taste. All Members should know the Club’s Dress Code is established by Club Leadership. It is solely the responsibility of the Members to inform their guests of the Dress Code. The Dress Code also applies to children, and appropriate attire is defined in detail below for Clubhouse, Golf, Tennis, and Swimming. All Treesdale Golf & Country Club staff members are permitted to enforced the dress code.

Club Management reserves the right to refuse privileges to anyone it determines to violate the Dress Code. There are no extenuating circumstances, and no exceptions will be made. This right is endorsed and supported by the Treesdale Golf & Country Club Membership.
  • Denim Jeans are permitted in the Clubhouse and dining areas but must be free of rips, tears, tatters, or fading. Hats are not allowed in Arbor Grille and, while permitted in Arnie’s Tavern, must be worn bill forward. Tennis skirts are permitted in Arnie’s Tavern and on the patios for dining. Proper athletic clothing is permitted in the locker rooms.

    Women may wear blouses, sweaters, golf shirts or sleeveless shirts with collars. Leggings may be worn only as a layer underneath Shorts, Skirts, or Skorts. Hats or visors may be worn only with the bill facing forward and should be removed when entering the Arbor Grille. Tailored skirts, slacks, skorts, or shorts may be worn at a length no shorter than mid-thigh. Short shorts, cutoffs, t-shirts, halter tops or sleeveless tops without collars (tank tops) are prohibited in the Clubhouse or while using any Club facilities.

    Gentlemen may wear collared oxford shirts, turtlenecks, knit sweaters or golf shirts with collars. Shirts must be neatly tucked into tailored trousers, khakis, or golf appropriate shorts. T-shirts with or without printing are not permitted. Sandals, flip-flops or open-toe shoes are not permitted in the clubhouse dining areas.

  • Members and their guests must always wear proper golf attire while playing on the golf course, and while using practice facilities such as the driving range, short game area, and putting green. Members should advise children and guests of the Golf Dress Code policy and are responsible for their adherence to these standards. To avoid any embarrassment to your dependents and guests, please inform them of the Golf Dress Code policy prior to their arrival. It is difficult to define every clothing type and style, but Men’s & Women’s Clothing should be designed or designated for Golf. Therefore, members should consult the Golf Professional Staff if they have any questions regarding proper attire. The Golf Professional Staff reserves the right to restrict access to any person not appropriately dressed.

    Men’s Acceptable Golf Attire
    Men may wear a Golf Shirt with traditional collar or mock turtleneck collar that has short or long sleeves, and shirttails must always be tucked in. A Sweater, Pullover, or Fashion Hoodie may be worn as a layer over an acceptable Golf Shirt. Pants, Trousers, or Fashion Joggers are permitted, provided they are of appropriate fabric that is not athletic-wear or denim. Shorts may be worn that should not rest below the knee, nor should they rest more than four inches above the knee. Hats or visors may be worn only with the bill facing forward and should be removed when entering Arbor Grille. Non-Metal Spiked or Spikeless golf shoes are appropriate footwear.

    Women’s Acceptable Golf Attire
    Women may wear a Golf Shirt with a fashion or mock turtleneck collar that has short or long sleeves. Golf Shirts or Golf Dresses without sleeves must have a traditional collar. A Sweater, Pullover, or Fashion Hoodie may be worn as a layer over an acceptable Golf Shirt. Slacks, Capri Pants, or Fashion Joggers are permitted, provided they are of appropriate fabric that is not athletic-wear or denim. Golf Dresses, Shorts, Skirts, or Skorts may be worn at an appropriate length that is not shorter than mid-thigh. Golf Shirts or Golf Dresses must have a closed back. Leggings may be worn only as an additional layer underneath Shorts, Skirts, or Skorts, not on their own. Hats or visors may be worn only with the bill facing forward and should be removed when entering Arbor Grille. Non-Metal Spiked or Spikeless golf shoes are appropriate footwear.

    Shorts, Skirts, Skorts, or Dresses of inappropriate length Denim, Fitness/Athletic-wear, or cut-off apparel Leggings without a covering layer Swimwear or T-Shirts Cargo Shorts or Pants with exterior pockets Non-Fashion Hooded Sweatshirt with external front pocket Halter-Top, Tank-Top, Open Racer Back Athletic footwear with metal or aggressive spikes Sandals or open-toed shoes Hats worn with the bill facing backwards or to the side

  • Male Players: They must be properly attired in collared or mock-collared tennis shirts, tennis shorts, gym/fitness shorts, tennis-appropriate logo t-shirts and properly non-marking tennis shoes.

    Cut-off jeans, swimsuits and board shorts, tank tops, t-shirts with inappropriate logos or writings and similar clothing are NOT acceptable.

    Female Players: They must be properly attired in tennis dresses, tennis-appropriate shirts or tank tops and tennis shorts, gym/fitness shorts, fitness leggings, for example, Lululemon, tennis-appropriate logo t-shirts and properly soled non-marking tennis shoes.

    Cut-off jeans, swimsuits and board shorts, outfits with midriffs, showing, t-shirts with inappropriate logos or writings and similar clothing are NOT acceptable.

    All clothing must be in good repair. Treesdale Golf & Country Club staff and Leadership reserve the right to restrict tennis players from playing on the courts if they do not meet the requirements as stated.

  • Only proper swimming attire is permitted in the pool area. Parents may wear street clothes with rubber-soled shoes when present to supervise their children or attend swim meets. Wet bathing suits are prohibited in the clubhouse, and cover-up attire and footwear must be worn to and from the pool area.
